Summer Harvest!

Today’s summer harvest! Grape tomatoes, mini eggplants, green peppers, yellow squash. Also picked some Perilla leaves, but they aren’t pictured. It’s funny, my mom didn’t plant any Perilla seeds this year, but they must have been leftover from the previous year or something.

Side story: Once, a few years ago, we bought what was labelled a shishito plant. It was not. Once it started fruiting, we realized it was a goya (bitter melon) plant! I wish we had one now. I am much more of a fan than I was then.

The job hunt continues, and it’s been really nice to spend a part of the day doing fun, creative and relaxing things. Stay tuned for more photos (as always), more food and more adventures (although of a more local flavor).
